EBS portal Updates
In early August you will see updates to the EBS Portal. The portal will be unavailable from Noon on Friday, August 3 – Noon on Monday, August 6. We are communicating changes impacting all users in an email to employees and an overview video , but there are additional changes to note impacting you as a Unit Administrator.
The following changes will impact you as a Unit Administrator:
- Personal Value Lists – The portal vendor is removing the capability to set personal value lists in some applications. You will notice this especially in HR/Payroll and Cost Redistribution forms for Faculty/Academic Staff, Temporary On-Call, Student Employee, Graduate Assistant, and Undergraduate/Professorial Assistant.
- HR Forms Workflow Report – The layout of this screen will change. More common filters will be displayed automatically.
Home and Back Buttons Issue
If you’re working in the portal for an extended period, the Home and Back buttons may stop working. We are working closely with our vendor to resolve this issue. In the meantime, the workaround is to click the middle drop-down in the header.
During the outage, you will be redirected to a separate page with direct links to EBS applications, including the Finance system. Access to the HR/Payroll Inbox will not be available during this time. Please note: any questions regarding an employee’s August 3 pay should be addressed with Payroll before the noon cutoff on Friday, August 3 at 517-355-5010.
