Layoff Notice Periods by Union Group

Administrative Professional Association(APA), Administrative Professional Supervisors Association (APSA) and 274

Employees to be laid off shall be given at least 45 calendar days notice, not to be offset by accrued vacation. A copy of the layoff notice will be sent to the Association Chairperson/President.

Clerical-Technical Union (CTU)

Employees to be laid off will have 15 working days' notice, in writing, prior to layoff. In an effort to reduce "bumping" in the CTU, an additional 45 calendar days administrative notice is provided. An employee's accrued vacation leave may not be used in lieu of the fifteen (15) working days' notice.

Nurses

Employees to be laid off shall be given at least forty-five (45) calendar days prior notice

999

Employees to be laid off for an indefinite period of time will have thirty (30) calendar days notice of layoff unless administratively impracticable, but will have at least fourteen (14) calendar days notice of layoff. In an effort to reduce "bumping" in the 999 bargaining group, an additional 45 calendar days administrative notice is provided. The local union Secretary and the District Steward will receive a list from the Employer of the employees being laid off on the same date the notice are issued to the employees.

AFSCME Local 1585

Employees to be laid off for an indefinite period of time will have at least (14) calendar days notice of layoff. In an effort to reduce "bumping" in the 1585 bargaining group, an additional 45 calendar days administrative notice is provided. The Union President and District Steward will receive a list from the Human Resources of the employees being laid off on the same date the notices are issued to the employees.

Seniority employees who are to be laid off for an indefinite period of time will have at least seven (7) days notice of layoff, and wherever possible a two (2) week notice shall be given.

CCLP

Employees to be laid off shall be given at least twenty-one (21) calendar days prior notice.

Non-Union

Employees to be laid off shall be given at least thirty (30) calendar days prior notice.
