Recruiting for position vacancies is an important responsibility for each University department:
- to ensure that affirmative steps have been taken to provide equality of opportunity in employment.
- to ensure the University meets requirements as a federal contractor.
Human Resources and the Office of Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives (OIII) are prepared to offer guidance and assistance in developing departmental recruitment plans. Departments should "reach out" and actively seek a diverse array of candidates, whether by advertising, personal contacts, professional networking, or other activities that produce effective results.
