Student Health Insurance
All individuals should be covered by some form of health insurance. Michigan State University is pleased to offer a student health insurance plan through Aetna Student Health, that provides reasonable protection against sickness and accidents at an affordable cost.
MSU Base Student Coverage OptionsHealth Coverage for the 2011/2012 academic year: The Student Health Insurance Base Plan is an illness and injury insurance plan that covers a variety of health care services including office visits at MSU Student Health Services at Olin, one of these visits may be used for a general examination. The plan offers a $250,000 lifetime maximum per sickness or injury, prescription drugs up to an annual maximum of $2,000, diagnostic treatment such as lab work and x-rays, hospitalization, specialty care, and one annual gynecological examination including mammography services.

MSU Graduate Assistant Coverage Options
Health Coverage for the Academic year 2011/12: The MSU Graduate Assistant Health Insurance Plan is an illness and injury insurance plan that covers a variety of health care services including office visits at MSU Student Health Services at Olin, one of these office visits may be used for a general physical examination. The plan offers a $250,000 lifetime maximum per sickness or injury, prescription drug coverage up to an annual maximum of $25,000, diagnostic treatment such as lab work and x-rays, hospitalization, specialty care and one annual gynecological examination including mammography services. For the 2011/2012 Academic year, MSU will contribute $2,200 (annually) towards the cost of a spouse or child and $2,200 (annually) towards the cost of a spouse and/or multiple dependents. Other Eligible Individual Program
GEU represented individuals have the ability to enroll an Other Eligible Individual under the student health plan. If you are interested in enrolling an Other Eligible Individual onto the Aetna Student Health plan, please review and complete the below form and submit to MSU Human Resources Benefits Department, 1407 S.
