2011-04-18 Benefits Open Enrollment has begun!

Benefits Open Enrollment for the 2011-12 plan year has begun and will continue through Tuesday, May 17, 2011. A 2011 Open Enrollment Guide will soon be mailed to you. You also can view the guide online at www.hr.msu.edu/openenrollment.

To participate in Open Enrollment:

1. Go to ebs.msu.edu on the web and select “EBS Portal Login.”

2. Log in with your MSU NetID and password.

3. Select the ESS tab.

4. Click “Benefits.”

5. Click on “Enrollment Services.”

6. Select the “Open Enrollment” link.

7. Employees who currently cover a spouse or OEI on their benefits will have the Health Plan Affidavit appear. (SPECIAL NOTE: If you and your spouse or OEI both work at MSU, the affidavit will appear in your open enrollment this year. Make sure to answer both questions. Please remember that you cannot dually enroll in health plans (i.e., both enroll each other in two-person or family coverage). You can enroll both employees on one plan, or you can enroll in separate plans and cover your other dependents accordingly.)

8. Next, the Plan Selection screen will appear. You must select each plan that you would like to add or edit. See detailed enrollment instructions and a video tutorial at www.hr.msu.edu/openenrollment.
