Benefits Open Enrollment has begun!
Benefits Open Enrollment for the 2010-11 plan year has begun and will continue through Monday, May 10, 2010. A 2010 Open Enrollment Guide was recently mailed to you. You can also view the guide online at www.hr.msu.edu/openenrollment.
Employees who want to continue to cover their spouse or Other Eligible Individual (OEI) on their benefits but don’t want to make any changes to their plan selections can simply fill out the MSU Open Enrollment Affidavit without going through the entire Open Enrollment process.
To participate in Open Enrollment:
1. Go to www.hr.msu.edu on the Web.
2. Click on the “eHR Login” link on the top of the page.
3. Enter your MSU NetID and password.
4. Click on “Benefits Enrollments and Information.”
5. Click on “Benefits Enrollment/Changes.”
6. Select either “Open Enrollment” to make plan updates, or “Open Enrollment - Affidavit Only” if you need to continue coverage on your spouse or OEI without going through Open Enrollment.
Please remember any changes made during Open Enrollment are effective July 1, 2010. Current PHP enrollees who don’t participate in Open Enrollment will automatically be transferred to Blue Care Network (BCN).
There will be three Benefits Fairs during open enrollment where faculty and staff can learn about benefits options and ask questions of benefits plan vendor representatives and Human Resource staff members:
- Tuesday, April 27, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the International Center, Spartan Rooms B & C.
- Wednesday, April 28, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the MSU Union, Parlors B & C.
- Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Nisbet Building, First Floor.
In addition to the Benefits Fairs, Blue Care Network (BCN) will be hosting 24 information sessions during open enrollment about the new BCN plan option, which is the new lowest cost plan. Information on these sessions can be found at www.hr.msu.edu/openenrollment.
