Answers about Allcare Dental closing and how it affects you. 

What happened with Allcare Dental being my dental provider?
On January 3, 2011, Allcare Dental closed its doors. Therefore, it is no longer providing services to any Aetna members.
 
If Allcare Dental was my dental provider, who will become my new dental provider?
Aetna has reached out to both Great Expressions and Aspen Dental and both of these providers can easily serve the 207 MSU members that were enrolled in Allcare Dental.
 
How will I know which dental provider I should seek dental services from?
Aetna will send new ID cards and a letter informing affected members of their new dental provider assignments.

When I receive my letter identifying my new dental provider assignment, what if I would like to change to a different dental provider?
If you would like to change your dental provider (at any time), contact Aetna’s Customer Service at 877-238-6200 to be reassigned.

What happens if I was currently in the middle of treatment with Allcare Dental or need immediate access to dental care?
Contact Aetna’s Customer Service at 877-238-6200 and they can arrange appropriate treatment at the dental maintenance organization’s benefit levels.

With Allcare Dental closing their doors, is Aetna looking to add to their provider network?
Yes, Aetna is currently recruiting dental maintenance organization offices in our area.

As a result of Allcare Dental closing, am I able to switch to Delta Dental?
No, you will not be able to switch to Delta Dental; you can only change vendors during Open Enrollment which is held in the spring.
