6.2 Dismissal for Cause (Academic Specialist Handbook)
A person appointed in the Academic Specialist Appointment System may be dismissed prior to the expiration of a fixed term or probationary appointment or, during a continuing appointment, for incompetence, serious personal or professional misconduct, including, but not limited to, failure to carry out the responsibilities of a specialist, theft, acts of moral turpitude, insubordination, intellectual dishonesty, use of professional authority to exploit others, or repeated violation of University rules and regulations.
