2008-04-25 Benefits Open Enrollment and Fair Dates

The annual MSU Benefits Open Enrollment began on Monday, April 21 and will run through Monday, May 12, 2008. This is the time of year when all eligible employees can re-evaluate their benefits needs and make changes to benefits selections. There will be three Benefits Fairs during Open Enrollment where faculty and staff can learn about benefits options and ask questions of benefits plan vendor representatives and Human Resources staff members:

• Tuesday, April 29, 2008 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the International Center, Spartan Rooms B & C.
• Wednesday, April 30, 2008 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the MSU Union, Parlors B & C.
• Thursday, May 1, 2008 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Nisbet Building, First Floor.

A special Open Enrollment edition of Source has been mailed to faculty and staff. You can view the materials online at: /hrsite/HRNews/Source. This edition includes information on our new group life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment carrier, Prudential. For additional information on the insurance options available through Prudential, please visit /hrsite/Benefits/ or call Prudential’s customer service department at 877-232-3555.

To participate in Open Enrollment:

1. Go to www.hr.msu.edu on the Web
2. Click on the “eHR” link on the lower right-hand side of page
3. Enter your MSU NetID and password
4. Click on “Benefits Enrollment and Information”
5. Click on “Benefits Enrollment/Changes”
6. Click on “2008 Benefits Open Enrollment” then follow the on-screen instructions.
